November 2020 Debt Payoff Progress

After what was the longest week of the year, November seems to finally be speeding by! I truly cannot believe that this year is nearly over.

Reflecting back on the goals I set earlier this year mostly makes me laugh. However, one goal…the one of being student loan free… is definitely looking like a soon to be reality.

PROGRESS THUS FAR

I have $4,000 left to be done with my student loans – FOREVER!

I have about $10,000 left on my car loan and then I will be debt free forever!

When I first set out to be debt free in December 2019, I honestly did not know the experiences that the new year would bring.

2020 has been eye-opening.

2020 has been really shitty.

2020 has solidified my thoughts about America.

2020 has been painful, beautiful, tragic, miraculous.

Overall it really has been: life-changing.

The woman that has shaped by this year is more determined than ever to show up for herself and her community. My priorities have never been clearer.

CURRENT DEBT TOTALS

  • Student Loans = $4,000.00
  • Car Loan = $10,070.84

Total Debt As Of November 2020: $14,070.84

THOUGHT ON STUDENT LOANS PROGRESS

I am not going to say that school is a scam, because for most people it is not. However, after learning what I have learned in the last 4 years, I can say more formal schooling is not in the cards for me.

By getting rid of these student loans, I now have an additional $270 a month to use in whichever way I desire.

For 2021, my goal is to max out my 401k account – FOR THE FIRST TIME. I also hope to send more funds towards building up my businesses.

How are your 2020 goals going thus far? Have you been able to cross off anything big from your bucket list or financial goals list?
