Okay, I first got this idea from one of my favorite people – Tashira from Politics & Fashion. She was doing a 40 for 40 list and I was immediately inspired. I don’t exactly have 30 things I want to do this year (I know, misleading title). However, I do have this curated list below of what I’d like to experience during Chapter 30 of my life.
Visit Disney World
I love Disneyland and I have been there quite a few times as an adult. One of my wishes for 30 is to go to Disney World! I am not excited about being in Florida, because…well it’s Florida. However, I am looking forward to experiencing the magic of Disney.
Fly First Class
This has been on my bucket list for years!
My sister wants to celebrate paying off her home (which she hopes to do this year) by going to New York. I am going to pay for first class tickets for the both of us to go and my mom as well should she choose to join us.
Go On A Retreat
There are so many retreats on my bucket list. This year, I would love to either go on a retreat with the Whole Experience or with Broke Ass Girl Travels.
Take A Mixology Course
I have always wanted to do learn how to bartend and I found out there are actually a few deals on Groupon for this! The goal is to probably do this sometime in the later half of the summer.
Alternative Healing
There is an entire list of wellness things I want to try such as acupuncture and cupping. I have the perfect location to try this out at and I am looking forward to incorporating more of these things into my life.
Hike Bright Angel
I used to be an avid hiker. So far, I have only done 2 hikes this year. My goal is to hike Bright Angel either in October this year or in the Spring right before my 31st Birthday.
Update My Wardrobe
I am that person who has been wanting to lose the last 10lbs for over 7+ years. After years of this on-again off-again goal, it looks like I am finally set to achieve it. Once completed, I plan to update my entire wardrobe. I never really felt like I had “style” so I will also be hiring a stylist to help me on this endeavor.
Get Professional Pictures Taken
The last set of photos I got taken was for my grad school graduation. I am doing a birthday shoot sometime in April and I am looking forward to it! The completed pictures will be posted here.
Final Thoughts
My list is a lot smaller than what I thought it would be. However, thinking about doing all the things above fills me up with excitement. I cannot wait to see what my future holds.
